Review of One Night with the King (2006) by Alexander C — 13 Nov 2012
John Rhys-Davies really let me down. This film was well made in the sense that not all of the cinematography is poor, and not all of the performances are bad, but sadly the most prominent of both worlds are nothing short of mediocre.
While the film's base and overall feel are quite true it fails to hold onto that and produce a movie that is good. Everything about this movie felt overdone, from the overacting to the obviously CGI crane shots that hang around like a storm cloud.
This was a poor film, but the story still remains fairly true to the epic biblical tale, so I will give the film two stars only for my beliefs.
