Review of One Missed Call (2003) by Sofia W — 08 Oct 2010
A genuine and effective horror movie. But it has many weaknesses that hold it back.
The pacing is very bad, some moments will chill you to the bone but others will have large batches of detective work. No musical score also hinders it and the only musical cue recognizable is the Melody of Death.
Besides this, the movie is a bit long and feel stretched out with the 2 hour runtime. I feel it could have been more coherent.
With a weird and incomplete ending (done on purpose), this is a decent horror film with some themes of abuse and some great scares.
