Review of One Missed Call (2003) by Chris O — 09 Oct 2010
This is Takashi Miike taking on the J-Horror genre, and he does it well.
It adds to the formula, rather than innovates, which is a bit of a disappointment for fans of his earlier films (Audition or Visitor Q).
None the less, it's very glossy and well put together. A fairly simple structure makes it a bit easier to watch than some of it's peers.
Not one of his best, but well worth a look.
