Review of One Million Years B.C. (1966) by Antonius B — 19 Nov 2018
This film is a vehicle for the special effects of Ray Harryhausen, who gives us a steady succession of giant creatures which menace small bands of spear carrying humans, as well as for the scantily clad and buxom females, led by Raquel Welch and Martine Beswick.
The pterodactyl attack at the watering hole is probably the best scene, and the film is not without camp value. Unfortunately, a ten year old could have written the script, which is about as unsophisticated as they come.
Itâ(TM)s watchable, but just barely.
