Review of One Hour Photo (2002) by Scottie T — 11 Jun 2015
One Hour Photo! One Hour Photo was one of the best movies I have seen in my life. EASILY top 5 favourites. So One Hour Photo is a A lonley man named Sy Parrish. Sy is a photo developer at the local Sav-Mart in town and he loves his job, he is perfect at it.
He is also obsessed with a family that brings their film to be developed at Sav-Mart by Sy. Robin Williams captured Sy's character and became him and it blew me away. His character was so creepy, yet so innocent and seemed harmless.
He had some things done to him earlier in life that he had no control over and he is obviously traumatized by them and he didn't have a very good child hood because of it and he never wants another child to have a bad child hood because he knows how it feels.
I dont want to go to much into his character or else i'll feel like will ruin the movie for you. The direction is superb, the script is excellent, the screenplay is original and haven't seen a movie like this in a while.
last but not least the cinematography is breathtaking and I really respected it, it was some really good camera work. the ending was amazing and it left me with my jaw dropped and astounded by how well it worked and that it was pulled off perfectly.
I can't talk about this movie much more without spoiling anything but I highly reccomend you watch this as soon as you can. The next time you feel bad for someone, I want you to think of them, and hope they feel better.
Thank you One Hour Photo for being the masterpeice that you are.
