Review of One Hour Photo (2002) by Coleman H — 04 Oct 2018
I thoroughly enjoyed myself watching this heart-racing, atmospheric psychological thriller. As always, Robin Williams gave out an outstanding acting performance, and it was perfect to see him doing a different genre of film, rather than playing another comic character in a comedy film.
I almost fed bad for the mall photo kiosk worker Sy and was rooting for him the beginning. He seemed innocent and friendly to start with, and then develops an obsession with the Yorkin family, who have been regular photo customers of his for a lot of years.
All of a sudden things start going wrong, when Sy finds out that the father/husband, Will Yorkin, is having an affair with another lady. He sets out to get his revenge, in a very odd way. I really enjoyed this.
A great film.
