Review of One Hour Photo (2002) by Ifiok O — 31 Dec 2010
Most people know that Robin Williams is capable of performing in dramatic roles as well as comedic, but in this particular film, he definitely delivers with his portrayal of a lonely character who is shown as sympathetic as well as disturbing.
Williams is very unreognizable here, which definitely is considered a triumph. He evokes some of the same intensity that went into the Travis Bickle character from "Taxi Driver," in that he is alone, desperately hoping to conncet with other people, but in attempting to do so, becomes dangerously obsessive.
