Review of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975) by Stephen E — 24 Jun 2012
"One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" is just one of those films that you can't not like. It's filled with rich, exuberant performances, most notably from Jack Nicholson and Sydney Lassick, and the writing is witty and very, very funny.
Milos Forman shows great strength as a director as well, staying true to many of the film's central themes. Overall, I don't think that it's quite powerful as people say it is, but there's no doubting its place in film history.
