Sadly this misses all the way around. Anne Hathaway's accent is horrid and it never gets better during the entire film. Her performance is pretty damn good but that accent kills it. There are gaps in the screenplay that make you scratch your head for a moment.
The very sad thing is that Patricia Clarkson who is excellent in the few scenes she is on the screen is for the most part wasted by the director. Scherfig lost control or vision with this project.
