Review of Ondine (2010) by Kaspars K — 12 Sep 2011
First of all, Neil Jordan did another amazing movie (loved Breakfast on Pluto, and my oh my, some of the cast members of that movie were in this one, same one I recognized from Perrier's Bounty). I think I have something with the IRISH movies since 2004...umm.
Plot: Syracuse finds a mysterious women on the ocean. Her name is Ondine. She dosn't say who she is, where she's from or any reason she hides. Annie, daughter of Syracuse, will try to find out the secrets behind this woman. How this will end? Is kind of predictable, but is still a wonderful film with an adorable message within. Stars for this story-telling? YEP. Stars for Neil, the crew and the cast too.
Acting: Yes, the cast got stars. Colin as Syracuse was great and brilliant, same Alicja as Ondine. Alison stole the show with her charisma and adorable role as Annie. She nailed her role very well for her young age. Stephen as Priest was amazing also, same Dervla as Maura, and Emil as Vladic. The rest of the cast did also an amazing job. Stars for their effort.
Music: Colorful, joyful, dramatic, intense, very well done for the scenes that were chosen. The musicians did a great plus marvelous job. Stars for them all, and also the singer who gaved her song too.
To end this review, 4 stars of 5. Enjoy and HASTA LA PROXIMA AMIGOS/AS! CHAO! BLESS YOU ALL!!!!!
