This is a side of Godzone that tourists don't want to hear about. A shocking movie about domestic violence in an Auckland-based Maori family - even when watching it for the umpteenth time. Tamahori manages to draw you right into it; and the actors, Temuera Morrison and Rena Owen in particular, are brilliant.
