Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Nelson P — 02 Jan 2011
I can't quite find the words to even come close to describing the pure brilliance of this movie. It's by far the most wholesome experience of the American West containing a little bit of everything it had to offer.
I particularity love the slow buildup of the revenge story, making even more meaningful and emotional than it could have been. Henry Fonda is the embodiment of a ruthless gunslinger, having little or no remorse for anything bad he's done.
It's not exactly for everyone, but the slow build up and pace is the greatness of the movie. I have so much respect for this movie, it's flawless in every way possible.
