Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Brian R — 19 Nov 2011
This movie looks great to look at. I noticed the horizons, the cliffs, the big sets, horses, and big stars, but what a complicated story. Was Sergio Leone trying to throw in the kitchen skink? OUATITW is much like the Dollars trilogy with a main character with an annoymous name, extreme close ups of faces, little dialogue, looks, glares, money, guns, an attractive dame, and three hours of western life for the audience.
