Review of Once Upon a Time in the West (1968) by Alex K — 17 Jun 2013
Sergio Leone is a master of mood, timing, and framing, as always, and when supported by a masterful score by Ennio Morricone, and great performances by Henry Fonda (in his darkest role), Chalres Bronson, and Jason Robards.
Claudia Cardinale is sumptuous, but I feel she does little more then stand there looking surprised and gasping. Still, this a a film for any true cinephile to see and love, a great addition to the classic Western genre.
