Once upon a time in the west is mostly remarkable for it's mind blowing and soothing background score and it's cinematography. Henry Fonda is the only actor in this Western that gives a remarkable performance. The film may be long, but no so slow, however, the character of Claudia Cardinale is very bad and lacks any form of characterization. Moreover, she behaves just like a whore till the very end of the film, oh I forgot, isn't that what she plays in the movie? Charles Bronson ineffectively plays another ' man with no name' kind of character without the genuinity that Eastwood would bring to that character.
