Review of Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) by Ruba E — 09 Dec 2009
" Sands: Are you a Mexi-CAN or a Mexi-CAN'T?
Cucuy: I'm a Mexi-CAN.
Sands: Good; Then do as I say. ".
I believe there is two parts before this film but I only watched Once Upon a time in Mexico without knowing about the prequels and it could be watched alone. it had some cool shooting scenes with nice pieces of music. Willem Dafoe was great as the villain. but I don't see why Salma Hayek's name was credited; if I remember correctly she only came in two scenes.
Ok now on to Johnny Depp, he was incredible as Agent Sands. I mean the movie itself is average but with what Johnny did to the character Sands made it way better with his scenes and his cursing every single time, to me he was the highlight of the film.
