Review of Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003) by Rain B — 20 Dec 2010
This concept doesn't work anymore. The original brilliance of El Mariachi was that its plot and its production terms were so cheap, bad and stylish, that the final result was awesome. Here... Well, look at the cast (excluding the usual ones, Banderas and Hayek): Depp, Iglesias(!), Rourke, Trejo (I love that guy, but wasn't he supposed to be dead?), Mendes (I hate that b!tch), and tons of other Hollywood stars that erradicate every possible sing of the Mexican touch this story had. The final installment in the trilogy is a boring disgrace.
Pedro Armendáriz: Why??
45/100.
