One of my all-time favourite martial arts film! Jet Li at his very best, way before his forays into Hollywood. An outstanding one on one staff fight with the superb Donnie Yen, and a insane final fight scene with the White Lotus cult.
OK, there's a fair bit of wire work, however it is still magic to watch! Making the film even better is the insertion of additional real historical characters, & the emergence of Taiwanese independence; though I don't think that will go down well with China!
