Review of Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011) by Heather S — 06 Jan 2012
The dialogue and character moments, though, are fantastic. This movie really had me thinking that in the same way translators of books are recognized, they really need to make a bigger deal of who translates foreign films, cause the banter in this movie is wonderful, and though I don't know anything about Turkish (I assume they were speaking Turkish), I'd imagine it would be difficult to make it sound so natural in English.
Also the scene where the apple rolls down the hill, over an obstacle, rolls further, into a stream, and down the stream only to end up in a small pile of apples is such a great joke.
