Review of Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011) by Paul W — 17 Nov 2012
With it's slow pacing and 160 minute running time, you will need a lot of patience to enjoy the painstakingly composed night shots and occasional moments of strange wonderment in the film. Apparently a knowledge of Checkhov helps appreciation - something I don't possess, which probably explains why I was left with more questions than answers when leaving the company of this strange group of existentially pre-occupied men.
