Review of Once Upon a Time in America (1984) by Andy P — 26 Nov 2012
Sergio Leone's gangster epic is extremely violent and completely lacking of any likeable characters, but he still manages to craft a movie so beautiful and heart achingly sad. The narrative left me confused at times, but I was so enthralled by the movie it didn't put me off once.
I had complete faith in Leone, whose final film is breathtakingly stunning and emotionally haunting.
