Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Romyl M — 21 Dec 2008
Although Brando's "I coulda been a condenta" spiel is overly melodramatic (and clichéd to boot), the film on the whole is arresting, and the feel-good ending seems well-earned, especially since since the waterfront for most of the of the movie is a brutal, living nightmare.
