Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Anne F — 31 Jan 2009
The brilliance of the acting in this film was a wonderful surprise - Marlon Brando, Lee J. Cobb and Karl Malden were all fantastic. The tale of mob-corruption on the docks, the hand to mouth existence of the longshoremen and their fear of fighting back against those using them is very effectively told.
