Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Andy M — 07 Apr 2009
A great film about standing up for the truth no matter the consequenses and it asks the question how to stay human in a world so corrupt. These themes are brought to the screen with a brilliant screenplay, hauting black and white cinematogrphy, and Marlon Brandos excellent acting.
An intelligent film that doesn't shy away from real life, but also shows us that good can make it through at the end. There are seriously so many great shots and scenes.
