Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Horvath S — 16 May 2011
A motion picture masterpiece! This film is easily one of the greatest films of all time. Marlon Brando gives a powerful performance one that I could see the emotion and depth he put into the role he no doubt deserved that Oscar.
The story was very intriguing and it captured my attention right away. The fear the people had of the mob was fascinating but the passion and guilt in Terry's (Brando) conscience was fascinating and one of cinema's greatest performances of all time.
I praise Elia Kazan for the direction of this film. The film is groundbreaking and one of the true greats.
