Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Todd E — 01 Mar 2010
What can I say about on the waterfront? I can say that it is one of the best films about early 20th century life and how it brutally depicts the amrerican worker and how he spends his life scrounging for a living while those privelidged and corrupt take his hard earned living, but the best way to describe this movie is to compare it to others: other movies coulda had class, the coulda been contenders, they all coulda been something else besides a bum, which is what they are.
.. then again those movies aren't On the Waterfront.
