Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Kyla H — 25 Mar 2010
Yeah its twice my age and there are no high tech CGIs in, but you know what? It doesn't need them. Its a story that captures the heart. Terry Malloy is a character that every one can relate to for one reason or another. You don't need multiple fight scenes and chases. A man sitting in a car with his brother saying "I coulda been a contender." is enough for this movie-goer.
A true masterpiece through and through.
