Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Jordan L — 15 Jun 2010
This movie is a spectacle among movies of how powerful acting is. Marlon Brando stuns everybody in his performance as the protagonist ex-prize fighter who stands up against his corrupt boss who has a taste for killing off his workers because of his own crimes.
And of course, we all know the line, "I coulda been a contender", which stems from the most moving scene in the movie.
