Review of On the Waterfront (1954) by Adriano V — 12 Apr 2011
One of Marlon Brando's best if not the best performace he has ever given. This is a crime movie that has easily stood the test of time thanks to the superb acting and the fabulous screenplay by Budd Schulberg.
Even though the only aspect of the film that feels aged is the ending, mostly due to the subject that doesn't relate to present times, this is as close to perfect as films get. A true cinematic masterpiece.
