Review of On the Town (1949) by Hilary D — 09 Jul 2007
I don't know why people don't care for musicals. If life were a musical, it would probably be a lot more fun. Anyway, Gene Kelly and Frank Sanatra, as well as Ann Miller and Vera (always hides her neck)-Ellen take the cake in this wonderful film.
The story is simple, but a lot of fun and the songs and dances are excellent. Also, this was the first film to be shot on location, so mad props should be given.
