Review of On the Town (1949) by Samantha S — 23 Jul 2009
Betty Garrett chases Frank Sinatra and gets him (again), this time Jules Munshin gets the beauteous Ann Miller, and Gene Kelly pursues Vera-Ellen. This last bit was rather weak unless you're a big Vera Miles fan.
I'm not. Alice Pearce provides a good laugh, as always. However, I do prefer "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" with Gene Kelly, Frank Sinatra, and Jules Munshin. (And Betty Garrett chasing Frank Sinatra and even carrying him around at one point.
).
