Review of On the Beach (1959) by Jill M — 07 Dec 2007
I'm sorry, apparently i'm the only person who truly enjoyed this film. Anti-war/science fiction goodness.... also perhaps the most depressing film i've ever seen in my life. Peck and Gardner are great, but the most touching is the story of the young soldier and his wife.. the pills... oh god, the pills. horrible.
Only issue... Fred Astaire? Dude. Just dance.
