(1959) On The Beach.
DRAMA.
Faithfully based from an original novel of the same name written by Nevil Shute in which the after effects of some World War explosion spreading nuclear toxins throughout the world leaving the only known survivors to reside to an Austrialian coastal area until the toxins reach them too. All this movie is supposed to do, is state the normal reactions amongst the only remaining surivors left in the world until the nuclear toxins reach them as well! Has some movie icons such as Gregory Peck, Ava Gardner and Fred Astaire except that the overall experience is totally "unrelatable" which in a real life situation some would not do what these characters would have done especially near the ending! And yes, it's depressing sh-t!
2 out of 4.
