Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Donald S — 08 Oct 2008

Probably one of the most underrated Bond movies in the series, this had a realistic story of James Bond actually having (gasp) EMOTIONS. While many criticize the movie for not being that action packed, this was more of a romantic movie than a action movie.

It just seems that Lazenby tried too hard to be like Connery, he had the opprotunity to add something new to the series like many who would soon become Bond, but he just acted like "Connery-Lite".

The story is one of the best in the series, the chase in the Swiss Alps is pretty exciting, and an ending that might tear a few heartstings with the butal gunning down of Tracy (sorry for the 39 year spoiler).
