Review of On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) by Chuck N — 05 Apr 2013
This film if you take it as stand alone is actually pretty good and forget about the Connery films- it's just a different kind of Bond. Lazenby does a decent job but really lacks that star power/ charisma that's needed.
The story itself harks back to From Russia With Love with a little You Only Live Twice thrown in- but the best scene by far and what Lazenby handled well was the death of his wife in the biggest anti-climatic ending for a Bond film and more true to the books of the tragedy of the Bond character.
