Two words: head. shots. Gerard Butler literally delivers either a bullet or a knife to the head of everyone he sees in this brutal and saccharine over-the-top barrage of action filmmaking. The acting is nothing to be awed by, but the only reason to watch this movie is to see Butler be a complete and total badass.
Some cheesy CGI took me out of the movie a bit, but that aside the action was awesome, and Butler's performance is on par with the classics of the 80's if not better.
