As far as Die Hard knockoffs go this isn't the best or worst I've seen. It holds nothing back to get a PG-13 rating as many lesser pictures have done and its siege warfare scenes at the Whitehouse have some genuine tension even if its action sequences are very over the top and unrealistic as you wouldn't expect.
Our hero in some scenes seems to possess Wolverine style healing powers.
