Don't let the 3 hour running time put you off, this film is a genuine joy. I love films that send you away thinking you've seen something important: from ex-Animal Alan Price's score, to Malcolm McDowell's wide-eyed performance.
I think this is Lindsay Anderson's best movie. Thanks to my brother Chris for revealing this nugget. Enjoy!
