Review of Oliver! (1968) by Martin S — 23 Nov 2007

To be quite honest, the first time I watched that film (for professional reasons) I hated it as hell! Not because of the film itself but because I hate musicals. But, after several viewing (again for professional reasons), I started liking it! Some of the songs are just wonderful (as a matter of fact I just bought the CD and I am listening "Who will by" while I am writing this) and most of the musical numbers are a delight for both the eyes and the ears.

Worth to be seen, especially for Ron Moody's incredible performance as Fagin!! In fact most of the performances are good with the exception of newcomer Mark Lester in the title role who, obviously, was not quite comfortable in front of the camera... :).
