Nowhere near as good as the original (which is a masterpiece by the way), but this remake does have it's shining qualities. Mostly in Brolins performance and Spike Lees direction. They do what they can with this, but in the end, they're still remaking a film that never needed to be remade.
That, in it self, is where the negative aspects of the film lay.
