Review of Old Joy (2006) by Tristan F — 14 Jul 2007
Like a Raymond Carver short story, it is basic and simple on the surface. Yet there is a whole world within the details. What passes between the two friends on their camping trip is hard to describe, but that's the beauty of it really.
I was quite moved by Old Joy, not only the indescribable sadness that is at its core, but the meditative rhythm of the film.
