Review of Old Joy (2006) by Donna B — 21 Jul 2008
Old Joy gives new meaning to minimalist cinema, running in at 76 minutes and featuring several dialogue-free scenes. The film includes some interesting metaphors, although many of them are also too obvious.
Although Old Joy is to be commended for its visually appealing cinematography, moody soundtrack and avoidance of an expected twist, it would likely work better as a short film.
