Review of Office Space (1999) by Vijay S — 10 Jun 2011
Office Space is THE perfect satire of 90's computer business age. Just a well put together movie and a perfectly written comedy without a flaw. This is among the greatest of satires and one could say it is Academy Award worthy.
With so many one-line jokes, it builds into a movie that will keep you laughing all the time. Ron Livingston's beginning performance is something all white-collar IT workers can relate to; hating your boss, your job, your life, and just feeling trapped all the time.
Perhaps the funniest of all is David Herman's character Michael Bolton. He is constantly being badgered for his name and the highlight of it all is when the two corporate guys ask if he is related to the singer Michael Bolton.
Overall, this is a genius comedy, a well-written comedy, great acting for a comedy, and a perfect satire of the 90's.
