Review of Of Time and the City (2008) by Klei R — 27 May 2009
The history of a city not through the eyes of the people but from an individual. Cinematic poetry at its finest, with Terence Davies' warm voice guiding you through his past every step of the way. In addition to being elegiac and intimate, it's also extremely funny in parts, which I didn't expect at all.
But it's like going to mass; you have to be in the right frame of mind. I only wish I had seen this in the cinema.
