If you never got to read the book in high school, you can watch this film. I wish I'd read the book first but I'm going to read it now. What a story. Deals so many themes I don't know what to say.
A film about compassion, the human soul, and to get right down to it, how some people, no matter how good, have to deal with such hatred and misunderstanding. God this film nearly had me in tears throughout.
