Review of Of Gods and Men (2010) by Marshall K — 20 Apr 2011
Please go see this film. It was deeply, deeply affecting. I don't think I've seen a film, which was based on actual events, so moving in it's simplicity. It balanced very well between the world of religious thought and simple human kindness, extreme fundamentalists and every day people of Algeria.
And the use of Tchaikovsky at the climax. Brilliant. Just brilliant.
