Review of Oculus (2014) by Craig E — 15 Oct 2014
Oculus is nothing but trite nonsense that tries to disguise a lack of a plot with ridiculous time shifts disguised as psychological terror. The only thing interesting about it is Kaylie's elaborate setup as both protection and a way to prove the existence of the malevolent force.
Unfortunately it is used more as gimmick than followed through and the rest of the film is such a mess that it doesn't even matter. Don't even bother as this film fails as either a horror film or psychological suspense thriller.
