Review of Oculus (2014) by Ryan H — 18 Mar 2015
Oculus was a great movie. The director (Mike Flanagan) did a great job portraying all the "demons" in this movie. He did a terrific job transitioning present day and 11 years ago at the same time.
Kaylie (Karen Gillan) wanted to go into the house with her brother Tim (Brenton Thwaites) and the mirror named, Lasse Glass. Kaylie wants to investigate what happened at that house 11 years ago with her family, but, thats not all that she is going to get her and her brother into that night.
The only thing I wish that Flanagan explained why the "demons" eyes were glowing and explain a little more about the "tricks" the mirror does to them. Other than that is was a great bone chilling, jaw dropping, suspenseful horror movie that the ending even has a nice twist.
The blood and killings look really real and animated perfectly. I recommend anyone that wants to see this movie because it is a great horror movie. If you like Insidious chapter 1 or 2 then you will love this movie also.
