Review of October (Ten Days that Shook the World) (1928) by Cli O — 06 Dec 2008
Brilliant film and obiiviously a classic. A great piece of propaganda, with fantastic camera work for the time period. Eisentein knew how to make good movies. One small point: When I watch this I can't help but think about the lack of outcry by the people watching it about the real death of a horse.
The same people who complain (alot) about animal cruelty in something like cannibal holocaust (although you can't really compare these films).
