Review of October (Ten Days that Shook the World) (1928) by Jens T — 20 Mar 2011
Oktyabr is trulley a cinematic joy. The editing which Eisenstein is known for, the cinematography, all the symbos and surrealisticc images that symbolises the fall of the capitalistic monarchy and the rise of the bolsheviks and their fight for freedom.
A special scene in the begining, where a white horse is hanging in a rope from a bridge is absolutely something worth seeing.
